"With a four and a half star average on Amazon, Tony Levy did well to bring his readers into his world as a prison guard and take them through his career spanning some 25 years...." - Taylor Morgan

I found it interesting, but not surprising to discover the “turn a blind eye” approach to the prison system. I could definitely see how a young recruit's delusional view of the law could be stripped of all expectation once on the inside, looking out.

What I liked and enjoyed about this book was that it was honest and raw. This was the first piece of non-fiction I have read in a very long time. The cover art grabbed my attention, and I found myself wondering what this story was all about. I enjoyed what I read. Kudos to Tony for putting heart and soul to bring his memoirs to life.

Reading this book will give you a glimpse into one man’s journey through his career as a prison officer, escorting inmates to court hearings, getting up to mischief, and the conscientious battle to turn the other way while corruption is all around. I can only imagine the raging battle between wrong and right that Tony faced.

Tony's book is like watching a boy with a shiny new coin, only later on in life he discovers not all that glitters is gold.

Keeping the average up, I rate this book a 4 star read. Watch out for my review over on Goodreads!
